Place et rôle des ressources dans l’identification des pratiques de référence par des enseignants d’informatique en IUT

Abstract : As with science and technology didactics, the questions concerning the transposition of computer science arise, particularly in vocational education. The teaching of computer science in vocational fields at the university has existed since the sixties. Vocational fields have been neglected by research in computer science education. However, the difficulties posed by this type of teaching are not all resolved. We study, on one hand, reference situations and knowledge prescribed by the national educational curriculum. On another hand, we question how computer science teachers in University Institutes of Technology (IUT) design didactic situations and consider reference practices and knowledge, in a professional field where practices and knowledge are quickly renewing themselves. This exploratory study is based on a comparative study of the curriculum, and the conducting of semi-directive interviews with 16 teachers, practicing in both computer science Departments and Multimedia and Internet Departments. Our results show that different transpositions are prescribed but remain the responsibility of the teachers. The teachers identify reference resources validated by a network of trust. They make a compromise between pragmatical knowledge and scholarly bodies of knowledge. They elaborate a didactic transposition of professional situations or create situations based on contextualized computer science.
