Prendre en compte différentes dimensions du travail en élevage pour mieux accompagner les éleveurs

Abstract : For a farmer, the work is both a factor of economic production, a series of tasks to organize and an activity that builds personal and professional identity. The Casdar project "Organization, labor productivity and sense of art in innovative farming" addresses these three components together. Analysis of data from over fifty farms, chosen to illustrate a variety of size and composition of the group of permanent workforce, highlights contrasting between these three dimensions work balance. Situations characterize conceptions of art, and work (to experiment, to manage, ...), visions of the social role of their business (produce, enroll in a territory ...), joints between private time (vacations, non-operating activity) and professional (autonomy, delegation) different. These ways of life work strongly influences the decisions and conduct of operations. Research programs on change processes and actions of technical and economic advice for adapting farms to economic and societal changes would benefit from better integrated.
