The use of a stethoscope is a more than common practice among physicians whatever their specialty. But how many of them are using information retrieval, and how many of them are using PubMed, a key tool for literature searching and information retrieval ? We asked all Clermont-Ferrand Hospital's general medicine residents in 2012. The results were amazing about their training needs. L'utilisation du stéthoscope est de pratique plus que courante chez les médecins quelle que soit leur spécialité. Mais combien d'entre eux utilisent la recherche documentaire, combien utilisent un des outils phare de la recherche documentaire qu'est « PubMed ». Ne pouvant faire un état des lieux national, nous avons posé la question à l'ensemble des internes de médecine générale (IMG) du CHU de Clermont-Ferrand en 2012. Les résultats sont surprenants concernant la demande de formation. Nous avons donc eu l'idée de mettre en place des vidéos tutorielles, dans un travail associant médecins et bibliothécaires de santé, pour apprendre à utiliser cet outil car « La recherche documentaire, c'est un outil. Comme mon stéthoscope ! »
